Unique Points of Japan

Japan is one of the most unique countries in the world. Today, a lot of tourists visit Japan from all over the world, and the number of visitors increases year by year. They are interested in Japan’s exceptional culture. In fact, there are many places to experience Japanese culture in some cities. There are many aspects of Japan that make my country unique, but these three characteristics stand out as the most important to me: Its particular language, its different types of sightseeing places, and the cleanliness of its cities. 

The first reason why Japan differs from other countries is its language. Almost all people living in Japan speak the same language, but there are no other countries that speak Japanese. Japanese has three different kinds of alphabets: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Kanji is used in Chinese too, but Hiragana and Katakana are used only in Japanese. In addition, people who live in certain areas use a dialect. There are sixteen different dialects in Japan. For the above reasons, Japanese is said to be one of the most difficult languages. 

Another reason for my opinion is the various types of tourist attractions. For example, Okinawa is the most southern island in Japan. There are many beautiful beach resorts, and you can enjoy marine activities. On the other hand, Hokkaido is the most northern island of Japan. It has vast nature, and it is a good place for winter activities. Kyoto is a traditional old city in Japan, and there are a lot of temples. You can see people wearing kimonos there. You have many choices of where to visit according to your preferred way of enjoyment. 

Finally, the best reason why I think you must visit is because the cities are clean. There aren’t public trash cans in almost any city, but there’s very little trash on the ground. This is because many Japanese are trained not to throw trash on the streets. In addition, volunteer trash pick up events are frequent. Especially after Halloween or sports games. There are a lot of volunteers who pick up trash in a large town where many people gather. Furthermore, there are a lot of hygienic restrooms in the city or in public places. Some toilet seats are warm in winter, and they’re very comfortable on a cold day. Being clean is one of the prides of many Japanese, and you can safely visit anywhere. 

In conclusion, Japan has many special properties that are not found in other countries such as a specific language, unique cities, and the cleanliness. Although some people go to Japan for a short trip, it is also good to spend many days and visit different cities. You can learn about different cultures in each place, and this is a reason why almost all Japanese prefer traveling to domestic cities.
