Using Canvas

Canvas is UMKC’s Learning Management System. Instructors post assignments, grades, and other messages on Canvas for students to access. you may need Canvas to access some of your work online.

Where do I find Canvas?

There are two easy ways to find Canvas:

1. Visit UMKC’s home page (https://umkc.edu/)
   1. Scroll to the bottom of the page
   2. Look for the list of programs on the bottom right of the page
   3. Canvas is the third program on the list
2. Visit UMKC’s home page (https://umkc.edu/)
   1. Click on “Current Students” at the top right of the page
   2. Scroll down a little
   3. Click the Canvas icon

How do I log into Canvas?

First, you need to set up your Pathway Access.

Second, log into Canvas using your SSO (Username) and Pathway password.
